Sassy, impassioned, strong and, most of all, honest, Aussie/Māori Taylor B-W serves unapologetic, phat pop/r&b music with ‘lyricism that is personal, relatable, and tackling a full spectrum of emotion’

Once described as “if Jaguar Jonze and Rina Sawayama had a baby,” B-W draws inspiration from a wide range of pop and R&B artists, spanning 90s influences through to contemporary icons such as Kimbra, Billie Eilish, BANKS, PVRIS, Sevdaliza, and Rosalía.

Following an early pursuit of acting, Taylor rediscovered her passion for music and quickly carved a name for herself in the Australian scene. Her celebrated debut EP ‘BTW TBW’ (2022) led to her first headlining regional NSW tour, supported by Create NSW. Her dynamic live performances, which have sold out venues including Bootleggers, Django Bar, and The Vanguard and placed her in the lineup of major music festivals like Night at the Barracks and The Big Chill, showcase her commanding stage presence and powerhouse vocals.  Her music has received airplay on Triple J, Unearthed, CADA, and FBi Radio, with FBi crowning her Independent Artist of the Week in June 2023.

In 2023, B-W ventured into new territory, teaming up with UK Drum & Bass producer WUFO to release a string of standout singles including ‘Defiant’, ‘Look In Her Eye’, ‘Understated’, and ‘Butterfly’. Their collaboration culminated in the joint EP ‘Latency’ (August 2025): a fusion of Pop, R&B, Drum & Bass, and UK Garage that marked a bold evolution in B-W’s sound.

Beyond music, B-W is passionate about wildlife conservation and became a qualified zookeeper through Sydney’s Taronga Training Institute. She remains an active voice for environmental and sustainability causes.

Her powerful voice and drive have earned her accolades including Best Vocalist at the 2018 Emergenza International Finals in Germany, following her win in the Australian competition. Music also runs in her veins - she is the daughter of legendary New Zealand artist Mark Williams, lead singer of Dragon.
